The Ministry of Sports and Recreation, under the leadership of Hon. Kofi Adams, Minister of Youth and Recreation, has announced a series of strategic reforms aimed at modernizing Ghana’s sports ecosystem, improving transparency, and driving sustainable growth within the sector.
Appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament earlier this month, the Minister outlined the Ministry’s major achievements and upcoming projects, emphasizing accountability, infrastructure development, and youth engagement as key pillars of the reform agenda.
One of the Ministry’s major initiatives is the creation of a Fixed Asset Coordinating Unit within the National Sports Authority (NSA). This specialized unit will be responsible for valuing, auditing, and maintaining Ghana’s sports infrastructure to ensure maximum utilization and financial efficiency.
